18th Century Cottage Home Renovation
- Project Year: 2014
- Project Cost: £200,001 - £500,000
- Country: United Kingdom
Simon and Pam undertook a dramatic renovation of their witchert (earth cob in Aylesbury) 18th century cottage with FSG Property Services. Their home is located near Haddenham and Thame. The addition features a two storey pitched extension which houses a new oak finished staircase. The front door and glazing above pitches back into the roof and will create a dramatic entrance. The rear space has been opened up and features a new ground floor shower room and open plan kitchen, dining and living area, overlooking the beautiful garden and nature including deer and fawn, a number of birds, badgers and bats.
We engaged the Model Projects team to help us with our cottage renovation project which completed in Autumn 2014. We would wholeheartedly recommend this team for anyone who is considering how to re-imagine their existing spaces, modernise their homes or even expand into places you wouldn't even dream of!
From the very beginning Model Projects brought creativity and fresh ideas to the table - bringing them to life with their drawings and packs and coming up with our vision for our new spaces. But it wasn't just the drawings it was the practical advice on the detailed steps we needed to take to realise our dream - from contractor selections to interior design choices. We have never tackled such a large endeavour and Model Projects guided us through all the steps. Kathryn and James made themselves available to answer our dumbest questions.
We are so pleased with the our renovation and it could not have been possible without the vision and professional support of the Model Projects team - so a huge thank you!
