The article outlines what can be achieved through permitted development. It explains that the development, must not exceed 50 percent of the total area of land around the original house, must not be wider than half the width of the original house and the height no more than four metres.  Our Managing Director, James, advises that various forms are achievable as long as the materials match that of the existing house. He goes onto explain that double storey extensions must not be wider than half the width of the original house and the height no more than four metres.

The feature provides information surrounding loft conversions and the benefits of submitting an application through permitted development as opposed to full planning .  This allows the householder to build larger dormers to the roof area. It also explains the benefits of using windows and rooflights to pull natural light into the property and provide  ventilation to the warmest part of the house.
